Tucson , AZ : Motocyclist was hospitalized with critical injures after he crashed his motorcycle on the northwest side on Sunday night, January 25th 2015

A man is in the hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries after he crashed his motorcycle on the northwest side on Sunday night.

The accident happened at the intersection of West Cochise Canyon Trail and North Arrow Shard Avenue near West Marana Road and Interstate 10.

Northwest Fire District paramedics treated the patient at the scene before he was transported by helicopter to the trauma center at University of Arizona Medical Center.

Officials say the man was not wearing a helmet.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Marana Police Department.
