Pratt, KS : Girl in critical condition after vehicle vs pedestrian accident on Tuesday, May 3, 2016

A Pratt girl is in critical but stable condition after she was injured in a vehicle vs pedestrian accident May 3 in Pratt.

The daughter of Darryl Willard remains at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita in critical but stable condition.

The accident occurred just after 6 p.m. on May 3 when 23-year-old Jason Blenis was northbound in a 1988 Ford Ranger on Belmont Road in the 400 block when the child entered the roadway from behind a parked vehicle and the Ranger struck her, according to information from the Pratt Police Department.

Pratt Police and Pratt County EMS were dispatched to the scene at 402 Belmont Road. The child was transported to Pratt Regional Medical Center then later transported by helicopter to Wesley Medical Center.

Blenis was identified as a delivery driver for Pizza Hut and was making a delivery at the time of the accident.

The Pratt Police Department is investigating the accident.
