Tryon , NC : One man killed after motorcycle crash along US 74 in Polk County on Friday , May 8th 2015

Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said a New York man died in a motorcycle crash that occurred in Polk County on Friday.

The crash happened on U.S. 74 eastbound near mile marker 167 and Highway 9 in Polk County.

Troopers said the man was riding with a group of motorcyclists from Farmingdale, NY. Troopers said the man's motorcycle veered off the right side of the road and hit a guardrail.

Friends told troopers the man complained earlier of chest pains.

All lanes were closed for one hour but are now reopened.
