JEFFERSON, LA : Fatal hit-and-run kills Metairie woman walking on Jefferson Highway on Thursday, 15th August 2024

The Louisiana State Police are looking for a suspect who fatally struck a pedestrian with a car late Thursday night.

The deadly hit-and-run crash claimed the life of 37-year-old Sue Ella Cechman of Metairie.

According to investigators, the victim was attempting to cross Jefferson Highway at Claiborne Court when she was hit by an unknown vehicle traveling west on the highway before 11:45 p.m.
