Elkhart,IN : Early morning accident injures three on November, Friday 17th 2017

A driver attempting to pass another vehicle on County Road 40 early Friday morning was the catalyst for a crash that sent three people to area hospitals, including one with life threatening injuries.

Seriously injured was Andre Khailo, 28, of Nappanee, who was a passenger in the vehicle driven by Cali Lane, 26, also of Nappanee. Khailo suffered severe head and neck injuries in the crash and was transported to Memorial Hospital. According to the accident report provided by the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department, his injuries were believed to be life threatening.

Lane was also injured, but her injuries were considered non-life threatening. She was transported to Goshen Hospital for treatment of body pain and a broken wrist.
