Clarksville, TN : Two people injured after two trucks collided on 41A Bypass in Clarksville on Friday, February 20, 2015

One man was flown to a Nashville hospital and another was taken to Gateway Medical Center after two trucks collided on the 41-A Bypass near Chesterfield Circle Friday morning.

It was one of several wrecks in the last 24 hours handled by Clarksville Police.

The wreck happened at about 7:30 a.m. after one of the trucks drifted into oncoming traffic and sideswiped the other, according to a news release from Clarksville Police spokeswoman Officer Natalie Hall.

The driver of a silver Toyota pickup was flown by helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was in the trauma unit as of 6:25 p.m. Friday. His name has not been released.

The driver of a red Dodge pickup, William Coke, 67, was taken to Gateway.

There were no passengers in either truck, Hall said.

Clarksville Police worked five crashes overnight Thursday. One crash involved injuries. Officers handled seven motorist assists.
