Cherokee County, GA : 18-year-old Palestine woman dies in two-vehicle crash State Highway 135 Jacksonville city on Thursday May 26, 2016.
Emergency officials responded to the scene of a two-vehicle wreck early Thursday afternoon on State Highway 135 about one mile east of the Jacksonville city limits.
According to officials, a Palestine woman lost control of a 2014 Honda Civic, which collided with a 2011 Chevrolet Suburban.
Kayla Tucker, 18, was identified as the driver of the Honda Civic by Texas Department of Public Safety officials.
The DPS report said Tucker lost control of the vehicle on the wet roadway and spun into the opposite lane.
The driver of the Chevrolet attempted to move to the right to avoid the oncoming vehicle but could not. The vehicles collided and the driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene by Cherokee County Justice of the Peace Rodney Wallace, the report stated?
The driver of the Chevrolet was identified as Russell Gideon, 48, of Frankston. Gideon was not injured.
