Tulsa, OK : A Stigler man died in a head-on collision on May, Tuesday, 16th 2017

A Stigler man died in a head-on collision between a car and a tractor-trailer rig Tuesday in Haskell County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Jeffrey Peevyhouse, 50, was pronounced dead at the scene after his eastbound 2015 Chevrolet Captiva crossed the center line and hit a Frieghtliner truck about 1½ miles east of Keota on Oklahoma 9 about 5:35 p.m., according to an OHP report.

The truck driver, Joseph Newhouser III, 51, of Campbellsport, Wisconsin, was not injured.

Troopers saidPeevyhouse was not wearing a seat belt.
