Wayne, NJ : Florida man dies of his injuries after car hit a pole on Black Oak Ridge Road in Wayne on Sunday night, December 27, 2015

Authorities say a 66-year-old Florida man whose car crashed into a utility pole in northern New Jersey has died of his injuries.

Detective Capt. Laurence Martin tells The Record that Thomas Ritchie, of Bradenton, Florida died Tuesday.

Ritchie was driving south on Black Oak Ridge Road in Wayne when his 2015 Hyundai Sonata hit a pole about 7:20 p.m.

He was taken to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center.
