Pensacola,FL : Escambia County emergency vehicle driver in serious condition after crash on January, Tuesday 23rd 2018

An Escambia County emergency vehicle driver is in serious condition after a collision at the intersection of North W Street and West Fairfield Drive.

The crash happened at about 1:25 p.m. Tuesday.

Paul Henning, 54, had the emergency equipment in his 2006 Ford Explorer activated as he was traveling south on North W Street toward the intersection with West Fairfield Drive.

David Eugene Keltner, 67, was driving a 2004 Dodge Ram westbound on West Fairfield Drive approaching the same intersection.

Both vehicles crossed the intersection at the same time and collided, according to a news release from Florida Highway Patrol.

Henning was taken to Baptist Hospital with serious injuries. Keltner was not injured in the crash, according to FHP.

The report said Keltner had a green light, and Henning had a red light.

No charges have been filed.
