FAIRFIELD, CA : Man, woman hurt in early morning Fairfield collision on Monday, January 30th 2017

An Monday morning head-on collision at Gold Hill and Ramsey roads sent two people to the hospital.

One of the victims, a 42-year-old man from Suisun City, had major injuries but was expected to survive, according to the California Highway Patrol. A 71-year-old Fairfield women had minor injuries, CHP reports.

Their names were not released. The cause of the crash remained under investigation.

The crash happened shortly after 6:45 a.m. Traffic was not affected as the cars were on surface streets.
