GRAVES COUNTY, KY : 1 woman killed, 2 injured in U.S. 45 crash in Graves County on Thursday, 21st February 2019

One woman was killed and two others were injured in a crash involving a car and an SUV on U.S. 45 north Thursday morning, the Graves County Sheriff’s Office says.

Deputies were dispatched to the crash scene at 6:38 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of U.S. 45 north and Powell Road in Graves County, a news release from the sheriff’s office says.

The sheriff’s office says a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe was stopped at the stop sign on Powell Road before it drove onto U.S. 45 north — into the path of a 2006 Chevrolet Impala driven by 24-year-old Mia Todd of Mayfield. The car and SUV collided in the right lane of the highway. The driver and passenger in the Tahoe, who investigators say were not wearing seat belts, were both ejected from the SUV.
