Las Vegas, NV : 82-year-old Shirley M. Stanfield dead after single-vehicle crash on the 215 Beltway on Monday, March 16, 2015
An 82-year-old woman died Monday morning after the SUV she was driving crashed on the southern 215 Beltway, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.
Witnesses told troopers that a Suzuki sport utility vehicle heading east on the beltway drifted off the road then crashed near the Interstate 15 southbound off-ramp at 10:41 a.m., NHP trooper Chelsea Stuenkel said.
The woman driving the SUV was taken to University Medical Center where she was pronounced dead, Stuenkel said.
The woman, identified by the Clark County coroner’s office as Shirley M. Stanfield, of Las Vegas, may have had a medical episode.
Her cause and manner of death were not immediately available, the coroner’s office said Monday afternoon.
