Philadelphia ,PA :2- Years old boy killed and his mother critically injured after Hit and run crash at city's Kensington section on Monday ,April 13th 2015

Police say they've recovered the car involved in a Philadelphia hit-and-run crash that led to the death of a 2-year-old boy.

Capt. John Wilcsynski says two of the driver's acquaintances delivered the car to a West Philadelphia police station Friday morning.

Police say the car struck David Alicea Jr. and his mother around 7 p.m. Monday as they crossed a street in the city's Kensington section.

Alicea was pronounced dead at 1:38 a.m. Thursday at St. Christopher's Hospital. His 19-year-old mother was critically injured.

Police say the people who dropped off the white Infiniti are cooperating and are not suspects. No arrests have been made.

Alicea is the second child to die in a hit-and-run crash this week in Philadelphia.
