JEFFERSONVILLE, IN : 19-year-old dead after rollover crash in Jeffersonville on Saturday, 31st August 2024

A 19-year-old is dead after an early Saturday morning crash in Jeffersonville.

Jeffersonville police said at 4:08 a.m. officers were called to Vissing Park Road near Vissing Park on the report of a rollover crash. Several people were inside the crashed car and had to be taken to area hospitals with minor injuries. Others from the vehicle fled the scene but were eventually found at various hospitals.

One person, 19-year-old Raven Newsome, died.

Police said the car was driven by a 16-year-old girl who showed signs of alcohol impairment. Witnesses at the scene said they’d seen the group drinking at Vissing Park before the crash.
