MARSHALL, NY : Woman injured in Route 12 car accident on Thursday, December, 14th 2017

A Sauquoit woman suffered minor injuries after being involved in a one-car accident on State Route 12 Thursday night, Oneida County sheriff’s deputies said.

The 7:11 p.m. crash happened when Teresa M. Cerminaro, 59, was driving north and she came upon a patch of snow and black ice, deputies said.

Cerminaro’s vehicle slid and left the roadway on the right/east side before hit struck a ditch and overturned, officials said.

Cerminaro, who was wearing her seatbelt, complained of left shoulder pain and sustained several small cuts, bruises and abrasions, deputies said.

She was treated at the scene by members of the Paris Hill Fire Department and paramedics from Edwards Ambulance.

Cerminaro was taken by Edwards Ambulance to St. Elizabeth Campus of the Mohawk Valley Health System Hospital for further treatment.

None of her injuries are life-threatening, officials said.
