Sierra Blanca, TX : 2 teen girls killed in I-10 SUV-truck crash near Sierra Blanca Border Patrol checkpoint on Friday, 28th August, 2020

State troopers on Friday said two teenage girls from California died when the SUV they were riding in rear-ended a semi-truck along I-10 about six miles west of Sierra Blanca.

The victims were identified as 16-year-old Sophia Aslanian and 19-year-old Emma Aslanian, both of Los Angeles. Their father, 43-year-old Robert Aslanian, was hospitalized at El Paso's Del Sol Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
