Cottonwood, CA : 15-year-old pedestrian injured in hit-run collision on Main Street north of Musket Way on Saturday evening, December 5, 2015
A 15-year-old pedestrian was struck and injured by a hit-and-run driver Saturday evening in Cottonwood.
The CHP says the boy was walking south on Main Street near the edge of the west roadway as the hit-and-run driver was going south.
The teen was thrown up to 100 feet and suffered major injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol’s website and scanner reports.
The boy was taken to Mercy Medical Center following the approximately 5:30 p.m. collision on Main Street north of Musket Way.
The car that sped away is described as a four-door gray or silver Honda sedan with front-end damage. A witness almost got hit by the same vehicle, the CHP website said.
