Kimball County, NE: Man killed in Kimball County crash on Thursday, July 16th 2015

A 43-year-old truck driver from Rockford, Illinois, was killed when his semi-trailer veered off I-80 into a rock embankment Thursday morning.Joseph Geeting's semi caught fire after it crashed near mile marker 8 in Kimball County at 2:42 a.m., according to the Nebraska State Patrol said.Geeting was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, State Patrol said.It is not known what caused Geeting to veer off the road, nor do authorities know if he was speeding or under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
