Honolulu, HI : 3 car crash in Nanakuli shuts down highway early Saturday, February 4, 2017

A head-on collision in Nanakuli closed Farrington Highway for more than an hour overnight Friday.

The incident happened just before 2 a.m. Saturday at the intersection near Kahau Street, Honolulu Police said.

Two SUV's were badly damaged. A third car had minimal damage.

An ambulance was called to the scene, at least two people were taken to the hospital. No word yet on the extent of any injuries sustained.

The highway was reopened before 4 a.m.
