Discovery Bay, CA : Five people injured in multivehicle crash on Thursday,September 3rd 2015

Five people were injured, including four who were hospitalized, in a multivehicle crash Thursday that might have involved alcohol, an East Contra Costa fire official said.
The accident occurred at 2:26 p.m., when three vehicles collided in the intersection of Marsh Creek and Bixler roads, Battalion Chief Jake Gonzalez said.
Firefighters and emergency medical personnel arrived and used hydraulic rescue tools to free a person trapped inside a vehicle, Gonzalez said.
Four people were hospitalized, including one who was airlifted by helicopter to John Muir Trauma Center in Walnut Creek, authorities said.
The three vehicles sustained major damage, the fire official said.
Authorities believe that one of the drivers might have been driving under the influence of alcohol, Gonzalez said.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
