Tampa, FL : Two women dead following a Tampa Bay area crash on Friday morning, March 18, 2016

Authorities say two women are dead following a Tampa Bay area crash.

Local media outlets report that Shaquada Nicole Johnson and Jennifer Arlene Connor, both 36, were pronounced dead at the Hillsborough County scene Friday morning.

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that Johnson was driving south on County Road 39 when she moved into the oncoming lane, clipped a truck and then crashed head-on into Connor's SUV.

Officials say the truck's driver wasn't injured.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
