Milford, DE : Five injured in early morning crash in Milford Saturday on August 30, 2014
Delaware State Police say five people are injured after an early morning crash when a driver ran a red light in Milford.
Police say 29-year-old Michael Walker of Milford was driving on Canterbury Road about 2:45 a.m. Saturday when he failed to stop at a red light at Milford Harrington Highway. Police way Walker's car struck another passenger car with four people inside.
The four people in the car that was struck were all wearing seatbelts. They were all taken to a hospital and are expected to survive.
Police say Walker is also being treated at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. He is being charged with vehicular assault, driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to stop at a red light.
