Farmerville, LA : Woman died in a two car crash on Highway 2 in Union Parish on Tuesday, February 10, 2015

State police say a 59-year-old Farmerville woman died in a two car crash on Louisiana Highway 2 in Union Parish.

Troopers say a car driven by 80-year-old Martha Reichert of Choudrant was eastbound and crossed the centerline and struck a car driven by Sherry Acree head-on just after 7 a.m. Tuesday east of Farmerville.

Investigators say Acree was pronounced dead at the scene and Reichert was taken to a nearby hospital in serious condition.

The accident remains under investigation.
