GRASS VALLEY, CA : CHP investigating fatal motorcycle crash near Grass Valley on Saturday, 9th November 2024

A solo motorcycle rider died in a crash on Highway 49, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP said a 62-year-old man was traveling southbound on Hwy. 49 north of Sun Shadow Circle around noon. For unknown reasons, he veered off the road into an embankment and crashed into a boulder.

CHP said the man was wearing a helmet.
