GENOLA, MN : Passenger killed, driver arrested after ATV crash in central Minnesota on Tuesday, 9th October 2018

A 37-year-old Rice woman was killed, when an all-terrain vehicle she was a passenger on crashed on the Soo-Line Trail in central Minnesota near Genola.

The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office was called at 8:17 p.m. to a side-by-side ATV crash. It was reported a 45-year-old Royalton man was operating the ATV, which was traveling west on the Soo-Line Trail. After crossing the intersection of 280th Avenue near Genola, the ATV rolled. A passenger, Karla Scheel, was ejected from the ATV and trapped underneath. Scheel was pronounced dead at the scene.
