Mobile , AL : 86 - Years old man was killed in Single Vehicle Crash while driving He crashed his car into a tree on Wednesday , January 14th 2015

An Irvington man was killed Wednesday afternoon after he suffered a medical emergency while driving and crashed his car into a tree.

Robert Daniel Smallwood, 86, was killed in the single-vehicle crash on Irvington Bayou LaBatre Highway around 5:15 p.m. According to law enforcement, Smallwood suffered a the medical emergency before his 2008 Toyota Camry left the highway and struck a tree.

Smallwood was transported to the University of South Alabama Medical Center where he later died.
