CLARKSVILLE, MO : An Elsberry man was injured in Pike County on Thursday, October, 26th 2017

An Elsberry man was injured in a Thursday afternoon crash in Pike County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 1980 Chevrolet 1500 driven by John J. Burkemper, 71, of Elsberry, was southbound on Route N, south of Mo. 79, at 3:44 p.m. The patrol said the vehicle ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected, returned to the roadway and overturned.

Burkemper, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by Pike County Ambulance to Pike County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
