Horry County ,SC : SCHP investigates deadly Horry County crash on Saturday ,July 18th 2015

One person is dead after a car crash in the Longs area of Horry County Saturday evening, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The Horry County Coroner's Office confirmed Edgar David Perez Guerra, 30, died from injuries in the crash.

Guerra, who was originally from Honduras, was currently living in Little River.

The crash happened just before 6:40 on Pine Needle Drive and Fremont Road near El Pueblito Mexican Restaurant.

Guerra was headed north on Pine Needle Drive when he drove off the side of the road and hit a tree, according to Highway Patrol.

The passenger in the car was taken to the hospital with injuries.
