SWANSEA, MA : 2 injured in head-on Swansea crash on Thursday, 18th January 2024

An investigation is underway into a head-on crash in Swansea that injured two men Thursday night.

Swansea Police Chief Marc Haslam tells 12 News the crash happened on Route 118 near the Swansea Mall.

Investigators believe one of the vehicles involved was driving on the wrong side of the roadway and crashed into an oncoming car.

The drivers, ages 20 and 53, were removed from their vehicles by first responders and brought to Rhode Island Hospital. Haslam said the 20-year-old’s car caught fire and he suffered serious injuries.
