Lake Orion, MI : Holly woman killed in hit-and-run crash in Lake Orion on Sunday, October 26, 2014

A memorial fundraiser is to be held Sunday in Lake Orion for a woman killed by a hit-and-run driver. The event in honor of 54-year-old Valarie Owen will be at American Legion Post 233. Owen died last week after she was struck by an unknown motorist in Holly. Owen's sister, Kim Eversole, tells The Oakland Press the fundraiser is being held to help pay for Owen's funeral costs.
