Hutchinson, KS : Motorcyclist ejected in crash near Meade on Wednesday night, July 6, 2016

A Fowler man was injured Wednesday night when he lost control of the motorcycle he was riding and was ejected.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Shane M. Kitson, 27, was riding a 2009 Kawasaki north on K-23 south of the Meade city limits at about 9 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a left curve. The motorcycle went off the right side of the roadway and came back onto the road on the southbound side.

Kitson lost control, skidding the bike and laying it down into oncoming traffic, and was ejected.

He was taken to Meade District Hospital with injuries.
