Watonga, OK : Frederick woman injured in Blaine County accident on Thursday October 27th 2016
A Frederick woman was injured Thursday morning in a two-vehicle accident near Watonga in Blaine County.
Esther Lavonia Morris, 81, was admitted to Mercy Hospital in Watonga in stable condition with back, trunk and head injuries, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.
The accident happened at 10:40 a.m. at the intersection of U.S. 270 and Oklahoma 33.
According to the report, Morris was driving a 2001 Toyota pickup east on Oklahoma 33. She approached the controlled intersection and did not stop, hitting a 2007 Kenworth semi, driven by Sherrie Ann Campbell-Olbright, 54, of Oconto, Neb. Campbell-Olbright was driving south on U.S. 270.
The report shows the Morris' condition is under investigation, and lists the cause of the accident as "failure to stop." Seat belts were in use in both vehicles.
