Houma, LA : One killed, two injured in crash near Thibodaux on Friday, March 17, 2017

An 85-year-old man was killed and a mother and child were injured tonight in a crash on La. 20 near Sugar Ridge Drive north of Thibodaux, State Police said.
Percy Chiasson, of Thibodaux, was pronounced dead by the Lafourche Parish Coroner's Office, Trooper First Class Jesse LaGrange said in a news release. Troop C was notified of the crash shortly after 5:30 p.m.
LaGrange said Chiasson was driving north in a 2007 Chevrolet Impala when he entered a left curve and went off the road to the right. He then reentered the highway and crossed the centerline.
A southbound 2013 Chevrolet Silverado hit the Impala on the passenger side, LaGrange said. The truck driver, 24-year-old Victoria Zungia-Galvez of Thibodaux, and her 2-year-old son were taken to Thibodaux Regional Medical Center with broken bones.
LaGrange said all occupants were wearing seat belts. Investigators don't suspect impairment, but routine toxicology tests are pending for both drivers.
