PENFIELD, PA : One man was injured when his pickup truck crash on Tuesday, June 13, 2017

One man was injured when his pickup truck crashed and flipped over on Boone Mountain Tuesday night in Huston Township.

The truck came to rest on its roof in the southbound lane of Hoover Town Road, according to state police Trooper John Connor, who was investigating at the scene.

He didn’t have the man’s name, and didn’t yet know the cause of the crash.

Initially, a landing zone was set up at Penfield Elementary School, but Connor said the medical helicopter was called off because of the threat of storms. The unidentified man had to be taken by ambulance to Penn Highlands.

The driver was the lone occupant of the vehicle, according to Penfield Volunteer Fire Department Deputy Fire Chief Shawn Agosti.

Scanner reports initially said there was entrapment, but Agosti said the man was out of the vehicle when firefighters arrived.
