A 63-year-old motorcyclist is dead after he and a San Diego police cruiser collided in Claremont Mesa Monday night. The fatal accident happened around 7 p.m. at the intersection of Balboa Avenue and Mt. Everest Boulevard near Genesee Avenue.Witnesses said the police officer was heading west on Balboa Avenue when he activated his lights and made a U-Turn at the intersection."Witnesses reported the motorcycle went down prior to hitting the police vehicle and applied his brakes and went to ground," said SDPD Lt.
