Littleton, CO : Driver of stolen car blamed for crash in Arapahoe County on Monday, June 6, 2016

The driver of a stolen car is being blamed for crash in Arapahoe County.

Deputies tried to stop the driver of a suspected stolen car around 4 a.m. north of Iliff and Havana, according to Arapahoe County Sheriff's office spokeswoman Julie Brooks.

Brooks said the driver sped off and while deputies didn't chase the driver, minutes later, the driver sped through a red light at Iliff and Havana and collided with a second vehicle.

Deputies have not yet released any information about injuries or arrests.

Deputies said the car was reported as stolen in Colorado Springs less than an hour before the crash.
