St. Cloud, MN : Bicyclist injured in crash with car on Saturday, April 9, 2016

A cyclist was injured Saturday after not yielding to a vehicle, according to SCPD Assistant Police Chief Jeff Oxton.

Emergency response was called at 1:15 p.m. to the 500 block of 1st Street where a bicycle had crashed with a vehicle while crossing an intersection.

Oxton said the man on the bike, James Allen Wiegel, 63, of St. Cloud, was taken to the hospital for injuries that were not considered life threatening. Wiegel was also cited for a failure to yield right of way, Oxton said.
