CLARKSVILLE, TN : Driver dies after crashing into empty Clarksville building in the 1300 block of College Street on Sunday, 17th February 2019

A driver was killed Sunday afternoon after running into an empty building in Clarksville.

Police said 32-year-old Donta Peterson was driving on College Street when, for an unknown reason, the vehicle crossed the northbound lanes and crashed into an unoccupied building in the 1300 block of College Street.

Peterson was transported to Tennova Medical Center and pronounced dead.

Police said the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
