SHEBOYGAN, WI : One man injured in car crash on Friday July 11th 2014

A man was found injured near the Sheboygan river after crashing his car near Kiwanis Park Friday

NewsChopper 12 video showed a trail of damage on South 17th Street near the park, leading to the Sheboygan River.

Emergency crews found the man's car along the river bank. It had taken down several trees, a power pole and electrical wires in the crash.

Crews found the car to be empty, but found a man along the shore of the river with significant injuries. Chain saws had to be used to clear enough brush to reach the man.

Battalion Chief Tim Kohlbeck said the man was taken St. Nicholas Hospital and then transported to Theda Clark Regional Medical Center in Neenah by Flight For Life.

Crews on scene were told there may have been a second person in the vehicle. Dive crews, along with fire and police personnel, were unable to locate a second person.
