Jefferson City, MO : Stover woman dies in traffic crash in Laurie on Monday morning, January 30, 2017

A Stover woman died in a two-vehicle traffic crash Monday morning along Missouri 5 in Laurie.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol traffic crash report, 58-year-old David Jantz, Barnett, was driving a freightliner when at about 7:48 a.m. he pulled out onto Missouri 5 from a private drive in front of 2007 Chrysler Aspen, driven by 62-year-old Forrestine Holmes of Stover.

Holmes' vehicle struck the towed unit of Jantz's freightliner.

Staff for Life took Holmes to University of Missouri Hospital for treatment. The Highway Patrol reported Holmes died at 2:02 a.m. Tuesday morning.

This is Troop F's ninth fatality for January and ninth in 2017.
