A fatal crash involving a pedestrian shut down the westbound lanes of U.S. 192 west of Walt Disney World on Thursday morning.

The crash occurred before 2 a.m. at Vista Del Lago Boulevard in Winter Garden, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Camille Champagne, 26, of Quebec, was walking in a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a Dodge Durango traveling in the center lane, FHP said.

Traffic was rerouted onto Vista Del Lago Boulevard until the road was reopened about 6:30 a.m.

The crash is under investigation.
