School bus, car collide in Rankin County

Few details are being released regarding an accident involving a school bus and a car this afternoon in Brandon.The collision was reported just after 4:30 p.m. Brandon police said, on Highway 471 near Warner Drive. A dispatcher said there were no children on the bus and the driver was transported to an area hospital for observation.Police haven’t released details on the other vehicle but WLBT-TV reported paramedics transported at least one person from the scene. Brandon police has not released the cause of the crash.
