BLYN, WA : Silverdale man killed in Blyn-area wreck on Monday, 23rd April 2018

Two passengers were released from Olympic Medical Center on Sunday after a Blyn-area vehicle wreck Saturday night that killed the driver, a 21-year-old Silverdale man, authorities said.

Jonathan Olsen-Devenney was one of three Western Washington University extension students in the vehicle, Clallam County Sheriff’s Detective Josh Ley said Monday.

Olsen-Devenney was ejected from the 1995 Geo Metro 4-door sedan he was driving at about 9 p.m. Saturday about 3.5 miles south of the U.S. Highway 101-Woods Road intersection south of the Longhouse Market & Deli on Highway 101.

Excessive speeds, coupled with alcohol and marijuana use, are believed to be contributing factors to the cause of the crash, according to a Sheriff’s Office press release issued Monday.
