Eau Claire, WI : Woman killed in La Crosse-area motorcycle crash on Friday September 16 2016

A Minnesota woman was killed Friday evening when the motorcycle on which she was a passenger left the Exit 3 ramp of westbound Interstate 90.
According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, the 51-year-old woman was thrown into a wooden signpost at 8:41 p.m.
The driver, a 42-year-old man from Minnesota, also was ejected from the 2004 Harley-Davidson and sustained injuries that weren’t life-threatening. He declined medical treatment at the scene.
The identities of the the crash victims are being withheld by authorities until family are notified. Excessive speed may have been a contributing factor in the crash, according to the State Patrol, and the crash remains under investigation.
