NEAR HOLLISTER, MO : Crash kills a man from Blue Eye Mo on Sunday, 3rd March 2024

A driver was killed in a crash on U.S. 65 Sunday afternoon. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Jean Lachapelle, 76, of Blue Eye ran off the highway just after 5:00 p.m.

His car came back onto the highway, then ran off the other side of the road and overturned. The crash happened three miles south of Hollister. Troopers say Lachapelle wasn’t wearing a seat belt.

This is Troop D’s tenth fatality of 2024. Troop D serves southwest Missouri.
