State police say a motorist escaped injury when his pickup truck was crushed by a dump truck in a four-vehicle crash in upstate New York. Troopers say the driver of a dump truck hauling blacktop failed to stop at an intersection Wednesday afternoon on Route 9P along the southern shore of Saratoga Lake in Malta. The construction vehicle struck two pickup trucks passing through the intersection, and one of the pickups hit another vehicle. The dump truck plowed one of the pickups into the parking lot of a marina, where the dump truck overturned and crushed the bed of the pickup. The drivers of the dump truck and the crushed pickup weren't injured. The driver of the other pickup suffered minor injuries. The cause of the crash is being investigated.
