One man is dead after a tractor-trailer overturned in the 500 block of South Park Avenue early Thursday morning.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene at approximately 2:51 a.m. for a single-vehicle crash, according to a press release issued by the Lower Providence Police Department.
Jeremy Marquette, 44, of Leesport, Berks County, the driver and sole occupant, was found dead inside the vehicle, the release said.
The tractor-trailer was carrying a full load of milk and spilled approximately 4,000 gallons into a neighboring yard and drainage area as a result of damage from the crash, which is currently under investigation by Lower Providence police.
Emergency response crews from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection were brought in to oversee clean-up the area.
Lower Providence Township police, the Lower Providence, Collegeville and Norristown fire companies, Upper Providence Township Police, Lower Providence Ambulance and Plymouth Ambulance responded to the scene.
