Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin
There was a manhunt in Mequon on Wednesday night, and residents were told to stay on the lookout.
It started at the Woodman's on 124th Street in Menomonee Falls, where police spotted a man and woman in a stolen car just before 4 p.m.
The two led police on a chase through Mequon, where they crashed on County Line Road.
“We had reason to believe the suspects had fled into a field. It's a heavily wooded area, so we called in K-9 units. We called in the Illinois helicopter to come up, as well. Eventually, one of the suspects who is a 20-year-old female from Milwaukee did come out of the woods. We did get her to custody,” Menomonee Falls Police Chief Anna Ruzinski said.
Police spent hours searching for the man who ran from the car.
They don't believe he is armed, but are asking residents to let them know if they see anything suspicious in the area.
