Bowling Green, KY : One person died and another was injured one-car accident at Interstate 65 On Saturday, 15th October, 2016

Kentucky State Police is investigating a fatal wreck on Interstate 65 in Simpson County.

According to BJ Eaton, a spokesman for KSP, one person died during the one-car accident and another received minor injuries.

Eaton would not release the names of either and said he didn't know if there were any other passengers in the vehicle.

He said he was also unsure of what caused the accident or what has been done with either of the parties involved.

The crash occurred near mile marker 4, between the two Franklin exits.

According to scanner traffic, KSP is looking for an Enterprise box truck, which exited at the 22 mile marker, that may have been involved.

Eaton said KSP officers at the scene didn't tell him about the truck.

Scanner traffic also indicated the accident occurred around 12:20 p.m. Saturday.
